· 4 Nov (Wed) –Luncheon/presentation "Fond" Memories: The Remarkable Life in War and Peace of Horace “Ace” Beach" - speaker Ron Usher presents about WWII veteran and noted UVic professor Note: Held first Wed in the month during Remembrance Week as Remembrance Day is the next Wed.
· 11 Nov (Wed) - Remembrance Day activities
· 13 Dec (Sun) – Xmas social mixer 2:00-4:00pm.
· Date TBD –John Larsen, Capt(N) (Retd) author of Earthrise: A Canadian Astronaut's Journey Into Deepspace about Jeremy Hansen’s role in the Artemis mission. See: https://www.harpercollins.ca/earthrise/ Note: This may be an additional coordinated speaking event with CIC Victoria in the January timeframe.

ANNUAL DUES RENEWAL REMINDER - If you haven’t done so yet please renew your RUSI-VI membership for the 1 September 2026 - 31 August, 2027 membership year.
Annual dues are $50.00 for Regular and $60.00 for Family Memberships. Note: The first year of the newly established student membership category is complimentary and $30 for following years. Please pay by: E-transfer; by cheque in the mail; by cash/cheque at our monthly lunch events. 2026 Membership renewal from $35 to $40
After many years, our costs have risen to a point where we now can no longer cover our costs and regretfully, we have made the decision to raise our Membership Dues.
This decision has not been made easily nor without significant discussion. Security requirements for access to 17 Wing and base decisions that we pay for any staff required (bar tender) and costs for room rental, which was previously complimentary, are no longer.
Other locations may also require room rentals (ANAVETS for eg.). And as we all know, our food/snack costs are increasing as well along with banking costs. Thank you for your understanding
