Intrepid Society Ontario Tour
Here is an update on the planned tour this fall to Ottawa, Toronto and Kingston Ontario for the members of the Intrepid Society and the Royal Military Institute of Manitoba.
The cost of airfare and hotel accommodation for the tour has been fluctuating due to the Iran war. This has made it difficult to provide our members an accurate cost for the six night, seven day tour.
That said, the closest estimate we have is $2500 per person with a lesser amount for shared accommodation.Coordinating the visit sequence to each location is also difficult due to postings and other events.
We have two alternatives:
1. Postpone the tour until the cost of the travel and accommodation settles down.2. Reduce the tour to single locations.
Please advise me of the following choices;
(a) If you are still interested in participating(b) Which option, (1 or 2) you support.

2026 Membership renewal from $35 to $40
After many years, our costs have risen to a point where we now can no longer cover our costs and regretfully, we have made the decision to raise our Membership Dues.
This decision has not been made easily nor without significant discussion. Security requirements for access to 17 Wing and base decisions that we pay for any staff required (bar tender) and costs for room rental, which was previously complimentary, are no longer.
Other locations may also require room rentals (ANAVETS for eg.). And as we all know, our food/snack costs are increasing as well along with banking costs. Thank you for your understanding
